Châteauneuf

Bourgogne

At the prow of the village, the castles reflects its military architecture in the waters of the Burgundy canal

Destined to command the road from Autun to Dijon, the fortress was erected in the 12th c by Jean de Chaudenay. Its massive towers and wide moots give it a stern appearance. The church, below the castle, keeps a magnificent 14th C Virgin with a bird. Just in front, the Blondeau House is one of the many merchants’houses
