Mornac-sur-Seudre

Poitou-Charentes

Typical of the seaside in Charente, the little harbour of Mornac basks its white façades in the sun.

Today, Mornac thrives on the oyster trade. Before it was a trading harbour. Its strategic position on the salt trail between Bordeaux and La Rochelle was greatly coveted. From the harbour, a maze of alleys takes you to the castle and the medieval hall-market.
